What's the difference between password and email breach checking?
Pwned password checking is free for everyone - it uses k-anonymity so your password never leaves your device. Email breach lookup (checking if your email appears in breaches) requires a paid plan.
What counts as a token?
Roughly 4 characters equals 1 token. AI breach analysis uses about 1,300 tokens per breach. Plus gives you ~35-40 breach analyses per month, Pro gives you ~150+. Analyses are cached, so the same breach only costs tokens once.
Can I use Straven without an internet connection?
Yes! All local scanning features work completely offline. Only cloud AI features and breach checking require an internet connection.
What data is sent to AI providers?
Only public breach metadata (breach name, domain, date, data classes exposed). We never send your email address, personal information, or any user-specific data to AI providers.
Do Team members get personal Straven accounts?
Yes! Every Team subscription includes Straven Pro for all team members' personal devices. Secure your company and your team's personal security at the same time.
